Daphne’s Wedding Gown Preservation in Alabama
After bride Daphne heard her mother-in-law’s horror story about her wedding dress being destroyed by an inexperienced cleaner, she made sure to research a trusted wedding gown expert in the Alabama area. She found Champion Cleaners, who did an excellent job cleaning her wedding dress so that she could re-sell it to another bride. Read more about her wedding and dress is our Q&A below!
When was your wedding and where did it take place?
We were married on March 21st, 2014 at Alridge Gardens in Hoover, Alabama.
Where did you purchase your wedding gown?
I actually got my Allure Bridal gown on Tradesy.com. I knew it was “the one” when I saw the rosette detail on the skirt. It seemed so unique to me!
What is your absolute favorite memory from your wedding day?
My favorite memory was during our ceremony. We decided to write our own vows and in the middle of saying mine, I started crying like a baby! Blubbering and watery eyes aside, the reason this is my favorite memory is because it was such a personal moment that touched each and every one of our guests.
Why did you want to get your wedding dress cleaned?
Since I purchased my dress on Tradesy, I wanted to get it cleaned so that I can sell it to yet another bride–this gown is so gorgeous and I want another bride to feel as beautiful and as special as I did on my wedding day.
Why did you decide to get your gown cleaned by a member of the Association of Wedding Gown Specialists?
I trusted Champion Cleaners to clean my wedding dress because they did SUCH a great job on the alterations. They provided outstanding customer service, so I just knew they were the ones to trust with my dress. My mother-in-law had told me her gown cleaning horror story– the dry cleaners she had taken her wedding dress to destroyed it and did nothing to fix the situation, so I knew I had to be careful when it came to choosing a dry cleaner. I am so happy I left it with Champion Cleaners because my dress looked just as beautiful as the day I got married!
