Dani’s Wedding Gown Preservation in Connecticut

Dani’s Wedding Gown Preservation in Connecticut

Bride Dani celebrated her boho-chic nuptials with a destination wedding in Tennessee this past October.  Read more about her gorgeous dress and wedding below!

When was your wedding and where did it take place?
We got married on October 30, 2014 at the Big East Fork Lodge in Leipers Fork, Tennessee.  My mother is a professional florist (her company is called Flowers by Elliott in Waterbury, CT) so she designed all of the floral arrangements for my wedding, including my stunning bridal bouquet!

How long did it take to plan your wedding?
We were engaged for about 16 months and had been planning the wedding on and off for about 8 of those months.

When did you know that your wedding dress was “the one”?
I purchased my Nicole Miller wedding gown at Everthine Boutique in Madison, CT.  I originally had a custom dress made, but it didn’t come out the way I had wanted it to, so needed a new dress.  I knew this dress was the one because as soon as I put it on, I felt so glamorous!

What is your absolute favorite memory from your wedding day?
My favorite memory from my wedding day was of walking up the aisle as a bride with my parents and then walking back down the aisle as a wife with my husband.  It was a beautiful ceremony and I’m so happy to have shared this moment with my closest friends and family.

Why did you decide to get your gown cleaned?
Since my original gown was a custom creation that didn’t quite work out, once I found the Nicole Miller gown at the bridal shop, I wanted to get it cleaned before the wedding as quickly as possible since it was a floor sample.

Why did you bring your gown to a member of the Association of Wedding Gown Specialists?
Orange Restoration Labs in Orange, CT came highly recommended to us.  They did such an excellent job in making my sample gown look brand new and clean!
