Amanda’s Wedding Gown Care in California
Amanda had two close friends officiate the nuptials when she married the man of her dreams–can you say “wedding day perfection”? Following the ceremonious proceedings, GreenStreets in San Francisco took fantastic care of this beautiful off-white piece.
When was your wedding date?
July 23, 2016.
What was your wedding location and venue name?
Green Oaks Creek Farm, Pescadero, CA
Who is the designer of your gown and where did you purchase it?
The designer is Rue de Seine (“Elea” gown) purchased at Lovely Bride in San Francisco.
When did you know that your gown was “the one”?
I tried my gown on right after another gown which I had returned to Lovely Bride to try on for a second time. I was pretty certain I was going to want to purchase the gown I’d returned to try on, but as soon as I tried on the Elea gown, I knew it was the one. It felt like me and I felt so comfortable in it.
What is your absolute favorite memory from your wedding day?
This is a hard one. Everything feels like my favorite, although I’ll answer with the ceremony. Two close friends of ours married us and they did such an amazing job. The ceremony was fun, even funny at times, and touching and lovely. They wrote and created the perfect ceremony.
Why did you want to get your gown cleaned and preserved?
Possibly to sell the gown, but also maybe to convert the dress into something I could wear again. I haven’t totally decided yet.
What made your wedding ceremony feel extra special?
The people! We chose to have a larger wedding as opposed to a small gathering because we wanted to celebrate with all of our family and friends who have played a part in who we are today. Spending our wedding with our all of these special people was the best part and made us feel so loved.
Why did you decide to get your gown cleaned by a member of the Association of Wedding Gown Specialists?
Having never had a wedding gown cleaned before, I wasn’t sure where to go. I called Lovely Bride, where I purchased my gown, and they recommended you. I could not have been happier with the service I’ve received.
